I'd get Longhorn just for the purdyness (of course it fsck'd my laptop...) I have also discovered that Windows only knows Windows is installed by seeing ntoskrnl.exe in the WINDOWS\system32 directory. If this file is missing, repairing windows using repair in a Windows Setup CD will not work (though the recovery console will, and you can then copy ntoskrnl.exe from the CD, reboot from the CD, and run repair).
I've been meaning to write about my weekend all day, I just haven't gotten around to it.
Friday through Sunday was extreme bliss. One of the best times I've ever had.
I went to the Beach with Adri and family, and we really didn't do that much (traveled, ate lots of seafood, and had an awesome hotel room), but it was a good week and a great time with Adri. We discovered that Phantom of the Opera is an awesome movie (again), and also that Without a Paddle is pretty funny. I really wish I didn't have to come home, but then again perfect happiness is not a good thing.

Dude, I hate all the new Longhorn screenshots... it looks like they were trying to copy apple, but it came out flowery, ugly, and unusable. I mean seriously, what's with the horribly ugly shades of blue-grey and massive workspace taken up by useless search boxes etc? (worse by far than an untouched install of XP)
